If the lamp does not come on when
power is applied
- When the track is switched on, or power applied to a
monopoint or recessed light, does the green LED on the
lower surface of the light come on for 13 seconds? If not
go to 2. If yes, go to 4.
- Is there power present eg are other lights connected
to it working? If yes, go to 3. If no, your problem is
with the electrical supply – consult your electrical
contractor.
- If power is connected, is the track adaptor on the DR2/DR3
a 3-circuit type ie the type that allows you to select
one of 3 circuits? If so, make sure that it is switched
to the circuit that is powered up – see Qu 2 above.
If switching to another circuit does not cause the green
LED to come on when power is first applied, go to 6.
- If the green LED lights but the lamp does not come on,
it may be that the lamp was switched off on the controller
when the light was last controlled. Use the controller
to select the light and set the dimmer on the controller
to 100%. If the lamp still does not come on, go to 5.
- Check the lamp with a continuity tester or by replacement.
If it still does not come on, go to 6.
- Your light may be faulty, please contact Remote Controlled
Lighting Ltd for advice.
If you cannot select the Director using the laser
pointer built into the controller.
- Make sure that you are standing directly below the light
and pointing the laser directly up at the sensor. Make
sure that there are no bright lights pointing up at the
sensor. Note that once the light has been selected, pressing
the ‘select’ button again will deselect it.
- If the procedure in 1 does not work, check if you can
select one of the other lights with this controller. If
yes, go to 4. If no, go to 3.
- Replace the batteries in your controller. If this does
not clear the fault, your controller may be faulty. Please
contact Remote Controlled Lighting Ltd – see ‘contact
us’ - for advice.
- Your light may be faulty, please contact Remote Controlled
Lighting Ltd for advice.
You have selected a light and the red LED is lit but the
light does respond to the pan, tilt or dim buttons on the
controller.
This can happen if the light is on a circuit that is controlled
by an external dimmer and the dimmer level is set too low
for reliable operation of the control circuits. Increase
the external dimmer setting to full, move the light to the
desired position and reduce the dimmer setting.
Any Other Problems
Please contact RCL if you have any other problems. RCL has a ‘no quibble’ replacement
policy for lights which fail in normal service within three years of purchase.
Please note that the warranty is invalidated if the light is damaged or if
an attempt has been made to open it. |
