Completed in 2003, the main ballroom of the Grand Hyatt was initially
equipped with manually adjusted spotlights for table lighting but these
were replaced in 2004 with 150 Director
DR2 pinspots.
The lights were provided with a special adaptor to enable them to be
installed within a shallow channel in the ceiling and yet still rotate
freely.
The ballroom is used intensively and the use of remote control dramatically
reduces the set up time for all events which require pinspots.
